KPHS ALL SPORTS BOOSTER CLUB BOARD MEETING-Lower LGI 6:30 PM July 12, 2021 Minutes 6:31 PM
Meeting called to order by Holly Overmyer, President. Those present were Coach Maple, Coach Elliott, Melany Colby, Shannon Richards, Traci Chamberlin, Guy Gray, Angela Jenkins, Toni Cosper, Melissa Gillean.
June 14th Minutes: Were approved at the July 12, 2021 meeting Coach Update Coach Maple - New V Men's Soccer Coach – Interviewing for Men’s Baseball Coach Old Business 2000 Panther Cards have been ordered and will shipped the week of June 19 to Coach Maple. The card will have new businesses on it this year.
New Business Coach Maple told the group we needed a new sponsor for football scoreboard. One of our current sponsors are no longer in business. Holly will check with Ed to see how much sponsorship amount is for this. Panther Pride Toni provided an update on the Brick Park at The Park. We currently have 11 bricks ready to be ordered, but the group is going to wait until after the construction in that area is complete.
Coach Maple will try and find out what the estimated completion time is. Amy is working on pricing for the materials to decorate the Wall located be Brick Park. "It's My Birthday!"- Recognize all coach birthdays once a year on Coach Maple's birthday. Coach Maple’s birthday is the first week of school so will revisit this item next month. Programs Toni is working on the programs as information is submitted. She has most sponsor ads done. The main concern at this point is getting all the Senior/Player ads submitted in time. Toni is working with the coaches to get this information out to the athletes with a deadline at the beginning of August. Deadline will be extended if needed. Toni will provide information to board on pricing for sponsorship ads.
Online Store/Membership Shannon said online Booster club membership and online store is up and running on the website. Guy is working on an email/newsletter to send out to all booster parents. We will also use our social media platforms to share this information.
Scholarships Melaney provided an update from the 2021 scholarship recipients. As of 7/12, 3 recipients have not provided copy of enrollment/payment for school. As soon as they do, those fees will be disbursed to them. Melaney reminded everyone of the requirements for a Senior student to apply for a scholarship. Their parent must be a booster member and do 10+ hours of volunteer time.
Financial Update Traci and Ed will be working on closing out the books. Ending balance $34,800. HEB HEB has contacted Coach Maple about using of space. We are going to leverage this communication with them to see if they will start selling KPark gear in their Kingwood location. Dean Ryan and Thelma Bustamante have both spoken with them in the past and their requests were denied.
Wish List Coach Maple presented the group with a Wish List from the Soccer Coach. Wish included 15 new logo game balls and additional items. Toni made a motion for us to purchase these items and Melaney second the vote, with everyone in agreement. Traci will take care of purchasing these once the banking information has been transferred into her name from Ed. Meeting adjourned 8:10 pm Next Meeting – August 9th at 6:30 pm
