Student Scholarships

​KPHSASBC is a parent organization that works with the coaching staff to support and enhance ALL of the athletic programs at KPHS. The Booster Club raises funds to provide needed equipment as well as scholarships for graduating seniors.​ Selected student-athletes who have exceptional achievement and involvement in athletic, scholastic, and community service will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Applications are awarded based on athletic participation, academic success, outstanding moral character, and work ethic displayed during years spent at KPHS.

The application for the ’24-’25 school year CLOSES on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA​

Applicant Requirements

  • Complete three semesters at KPHS.

  • Participate in one Booster Club-recognized sport as an athlete, trainer, or cheerleader DURING senior year.

  • Submit a high school transcript AND be eligible for graduation.

  • Be in good standing within Humble ISD rules and maintain good conduct or the scholarship will be revoked and awarded to the candidate with the next highest point total.

  • Be accepted for admission to a college, university, or other secondary educational institution for the fall immediately following graduation.

  • Apply using the link on the Humble ISD scholarship website.                                        

 Parent Requirements​

  • Work 10 hours on Booster Club-related events during the current school year by the application deadline and be sure to sign in for recognition of hours; for example:

    • Staffing the KPHSASBC merchandise table and/or concessions

    • Selling programs at varsity football games       

  • If a parent has more than one senior applying for a scholarship, the parent must complete 10 volunteer hours, as described above, for each senior.

  • Be a paid member of the KPHSASBC by the application due date.

​​​​​General Information​

  • Students receiving a full athletic scholarship will not be eligible for this scholarship.

  • All information will be kept strictly confidential within the selection committee.

  • All decisions of the committee are final.

  • Applicants chosen to receive scholarship awards must submit a copy of a letter of acceptance and their student ID number from the educational institution to the Humble ISD Foundation upon request.

2025 Scholarship Winners

​Congratulations to the following 18 senior athletes who were awarded over $23,000 in scholarships to continuing their education at the next level. Scholarships were based on exceptional grades, essays, athletic accomplishments and volunteer hours.​​

  • Hayden Anderson - cheer, attending Baylor University, majoring in child development

  • Hogan Anderson - swim, attending Texas A&M, majoring in construction science

  • Chase Bennett - football/basketball/soccer, attending Texas A&M majoring in construction science

  • Krisslyn Boyles - soccer/volleyball

  • Kallen Cosper - basketball/baseball/football, continuing with football as a long snapper for Mississippi State University

  • Aniah Cross - track & field/basketball, continuing with basketball at Jessup University, majoring in biology

  • Courtney Daniel - golf/soccer/track&field, continuing with shotput and discus at the University of Tennessee

  • Ethan Elliot - football/track - Stephen F. Austin

  • Tanner Gillean - baseball - Mississippi University, where he will continue to play

  • ​Addison Gomez - softball/volleyball - Texas A&M, majoring in biology

  • ​Khloe King - wrestling - continuing her sport at the Oklahoma State, majoring in pre-veterinary medicine

  • Blake Lawson - football/soccer - Texas A&M, majoring in finance

  • Myriam Molina - softball/basketball/track & field - Fairleigh Dickson University, majoring in pre-law/marketing

  • Abbey Papadimitriou - softball, continuing her sport at Sam Houston State University, majoring in criminal justice

  • Emily Petruncio - volleyball - University of Texas, majoring in architecture

  • Collier Smith - basketball - Texas A & M/Rangeland, majoring in wildlife and fisheries management

  • Cece Sullivan - volleyball/swim - continuing her sport at the Southwestern University, double major biochem/math
