Student Scholarships

KPHSASBC is a parent organization that works with the coaching staff to support and enhance ALL of the athletic programs at KPHS. The Booster Club raises funds to provide needed equipment as well as scholarships for graduating seniors.

​​

Selected student-athletes who have exceptional achievement and involvement in scholastic, athletic, and community service will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Applications are awarded based on athletic participation, academic success, outstanding moral character, and work ethic displayed during their years at KPHS.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicant Requirements

  • Complete three semesters at KPHS

  • Participate in one Booster Club-recognized sport as an athlete, trainer, or cheerleader DURING their senior year

  • Submit a high school transcript AND be eligible for graduation

  • Be in good standing within Humble ISD rules and maintain good conduct or the scholarship will be revoked and awarded to the candidate with the next highest point total

  • Be accepted for admission to a college, university, or other secondary educational institution for the fall immediately following graduation

Parent Requirements​

  • Work 10 hours on Booster Club-related events during the current school year by the application deadline and be sure to sign in for recognition of hours; for example:

    • Staffing the KPHSASBC merchandise table and/or concessions

    • Selling programs at varsity football games       

  • Be a paid member of the KPHSASBC by the application due date

General Information​

  • Students receiving a full athletic scholarship will not be eligible for this scholarship.

  • All information will be kept strictly confidential within the selection committee.

  • All decisions of the committee are final.

  • Applicants chosen to receive scholarship awards must submit a copy of a letter of acceptance and their student ID number from the educational institution to the Humble ISD Foundation upon request.

2024 Scholarship Winners

​Congratulations to the following seniors who were awarded $1,500 scholarships toward continuing their education at the next level. Scholarships were based on exceptional grades, essays, athletic accomplishments and volunteer hours.

​

 

  • Camille Blair (golf) will major in nursing at Anderson University, where she will continue to play golf.

  • Alexa Bustamante (cheer/basketball) will attend Lone Star with plans to transfer to Sam Houston and major in education.

  • Marshall Burke (baseball/football) will major in ocean engineering at Florida Tech University where he will continue to play baseball.

  • Vivian Garcia (XC/track) will major in communications and leadership at UT Austin.

  • Hudson Gary (football/track) will major in business administration at Texas A&M.

  • Alexander Gleason (golf/baseball) will major in biology & forensic science at Lyon College, where he will play golf.

  • Hunter Keelen (soccer/football) will major in history at Texas A&M.

  • Hannah Leierer (softball) will major in psychology at Campbell University, where she will continue to play softball.

  • Pierce Richards (football/baseball/basketball/track) will major in engineering at Colorado School of Mines, where he will continue to play football.

  • Carlie Solomon (swim) will major in communications at Texas A&M.

  • Joe Stephenson (swim) will major in business entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University, where he will continue to swim.

  • Mackenzie Terrell (cheer) will major in agricultural business at Sam Houston University.

  • McKynzie Wallace (volleyball) will major in biomedical science at Texas A&M.

  • Allie Watson (dive/track) will major in environmental science at Texas A&M Corpus Christi

Not pictured: Bailey Ricker (soccer) will attend Southern Virginia University and play soccer.

During the 2021 - 2022 school year, the KPHSASBC awarded 15 student athletes $1,500 scholarships. Those recipients were Kate Tiedtke, Lexi Shannon, Kathleen Ortiz, Kennedy Dolmage, Carter Bennett, McCormick (Mick) Johnson, Jayme Wilkey, Tony Sterner, Trey Ricker, Reese Cavallo, Megan Fischer, Charlee Jordan, Kyle Connelly, Talon Balcom, and William Stonestreet.

2021 Scholarship Winners

During the 2020 - 2021 school year, the KPHSASBC awarded 15 student athletes $1,500 scholarships to the following individuals:
