All information needed to submit your application to be considered for one of our scholarships will be completed through the link above, on the HISD Education website. This includes the submission of your essay.
The All Sports Booster Club (ASBC) offers 12 scholarships worth $1,500 each to our graduating seniors. The scoring criteria for this scholarship centers mostly on grades, essays, and athletic accomplishments. However, there are a few other requirements that parents must complete:
Must be a member of the KPark All Sports Booster Club. - Good news. You can use this link for the KPHSASBC membership Sign-up, if you are not yet a member of the booster club. Please encourage your friends to also join.
Must complete 10 hours of Booster Club Related volunteer hours
One way to complete these hours is to sell 8 total Panther Cards. The money from the sales of these cards goes straight back to the Booster Club. Most students sold the required 3 back a month or two ago. If they can sell an additional 5 or more, then those hours will be fulfilled.
The other way to earn the 10 hours is to work concessions at one of our home game events. I’m attaching the one for men’s basketball. Boys Basketball Concessions Sign Up Sheet When you come and volunteer, you can record your name in the volunteer book so that we can keep track of your hours. As we get access to other sports that are having concessions, we’ll let you know.
Head team moms will earn hours for this role, but please note that volunteering for your individual sport and helping the team mom does not count toward the 10 hours needed for the scholarship. The opportunities to earn hours are mainly in the concession stand and/or selling Panther Cards, but if you need more ideas please contact us via this email address.
